USA Civil announces Bob Koch’s retirement and leadership reorganization

After a stellar 42-year Skanska career, Executive Vice President Bob Koch is retiring in mid-January. Along with that news, Mike Cobelli, USA Civil’s incoming president and CEO, last week announced a wide-ranging leadership restructuring effective January 1 to best position the unit for continued national growth and to recognize employee contributions. This includes splitting Civil’s chief operating officer role – which has been held by Cobelli – into two positions: COO West and COO East. Also, the West Region is being divided into several entities to support its current backlog and growth goals, and the Northeast region is getting a new senior vice president/general manager.

Top ENR recognition for our Florida Polytechnic project

ENR Southeast magazine named our Florida Polytechnic University Innovation, Science and Technology Building its Building Project of the Year. The recognition was given after the project team successfully overcame “daunting design and construction challenges.” Separately, ENR MidAtlantic honored our Tidewater Community College New Student Center project in Virginia with the award of merit in the higher education/research category. Congrats to both teams!
