We hope you’re inspired by It’s a Wow

This morning you received a new Skanska communication in your email inbox: It’s a Wow! Modeled after our popular It’s a Wins, each It’s a Wow provides a concise snapshot of an especially noteworthy Skanska USA project. In Ohio and Florida, being recognized for diversity and inclusion excellence

Open just three-and-a-half years, our Cincinnati office is doing much to bring the Skanska name to its region. Its latest accomplishment: winning the Greater Dayton Workplace Diversity Award. Congrats to both teams!

Watch us implode an 18-story Houston building

Skanska recently imploded the 18-story former Houston Club building to make way for our 35-story Capitol Tower commercial development project. Implosions don’t get much trickier, as the Houston Club was surrounded by other tall buildings in downtown Houston. Months and months of planning went into the brief implosion and, when the dust cleared, it was a success! More than 86 percent of that debris will be recycled. Click below to watch it all happen.

We hope you take the insights you’ve gained this week and integrate them into your work: the people you hire, the partners you align with, the teams you assemble, the clients whose work you seek, and so on.

How many buildings have a glass waterfall? This one does

Don’t miss the 10-story headquarters building that we just delivered near Boston for EF Education First, a Swedish education travel company. The building’s highlight is a glass waterfall that juts down the middle of the building’s front facade, streaming natural light inside.
