USA Building names new regional safety, preconstruction leaders

USA Building has hired Jennifer McMullen as vice president of environment, health and safety for its western region, as well as Dale Kopnitsky as vice president of preconstruction for its Washington, D.C., metro office.

From her base in Oakland, Calif., McMullen will oversee Building’s EHS activities in Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington. A certified professional ergonomist, McMullen comes to Skanska with more than 15 years of experience in EHS with Fortune 500 firms, most recently with Intel, where she served as construction EHS manager. Additionally, McMullen’s resume includes eight years as an EHS consultant, and as safety and ergonomics manager for John Deere. She writes and speaks frequently on safety and ergonomics issues, both for businesses and consumers.

With 27 years of experience, Kopnitsky oversees preconstruction services for D.C.-area Building projects. He previously was a vice president of preconstruction for Gilbane Building Company in D.C.
