USA Commercial Development wins major real estate awards

USA Commercial Development’s Boston, Seattle and Washington, D.C., offices won major awards in November from the local chapters of NAIOP, a commercial real estate development organization.

NAIOP Massachusetts awarded our Boston colleagues its Distinguished Real Estate Award for their achievements in real estate, charitable activities and community betterment.

“This award is a testament to [Skanska’s] pursuit of developing healthy and inspiring work environments that stimulate creativity, collaboration and productivity,” said David Begelfer, CEO of NAIOP Massachusetts. “We are honored to recognize them for their tremendous success.”

Skanska has invested more than $500 million in Boston-area development projects, adding substantial value and injecting energy into some of the region’s most iconic and emerging neighborhoods.

In Seattle, NAIOP’s Washington State Chapter awarded our 129,000-square-foot Stone34 project its Office Development of the Year award. Stone 34 is the new headquarters of Brooks Sports, the running shoe and apparel company.

In the D.C. area, NAIOP Northern Virginia named our nearly 140,000-square-foot 1776 Wilson Boulevard project its Award of Excellence in the Best Real Estate Transaction – Sale category. This past July, we sold 1776 Wilson – home to CDUS’ D.C. office – for $90 million.

Essential to the success of all CDUS projects is close collaboration with USA Building.
