New role for USA Building’s Bryant Farland

USA Building has promoted Bryant Farland to be managing director of strategic projects, a new role reporting to Corporate Senior Vice President Ken Sigel as part of the Project Planning Services group.

Farland will partner with Building’s co-chief operating officers to ensure consistency in evaluating, planning and executing projects that employ fully integrated design and construction processes – including design/build and IPD – and that require a different approach than our construction management projects. He will also oversee the management of risk and opportunity during the pursuit and project planning phases.

“Bryant has played an integral role in our success in alternative delivery for both public and private owners, including MetLife Stadium, the Sacramento Central Utility Plant, Washington State University’s Technology Lab and Education First’s North American headquarters,” said Bill Flemming, USA Building president and CEO. “He has also played key roles in assignments that call for collaboration across business units.”

Such responsibilities included helping financially close Elizabeth River Tunnels, Infrastructure Development North America’s first public-private partnership project, and serving as the commercial director of the Skanska-led construction joint venture for our current LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal Building PPP pursuit.

Currently Farland oversees the Mission Critical Center of Excellence, a role he is relinquishing. A search for his COE successor is underway.
