USA Civil promotes three in West to project executive

In their new roles, Robb Fonkalsrud, Gerry Iniguez and Brad Nystrom will support our growing infrastructure construction business in the West.

These promotions were jointly announced by Western Chief Operating Officer Don Fusco and executive vice presidents Mike Aparicio and Brian Stieritz.

Fonkalsrud has been “vital” to successfully delivering our nearly completed Expo 2 light rail project in Los Angeles, the announcement said. Furthermore, “Robb has a unique ability to overcome obstacles and deliver for our clients while actively coaching and developing those working with him.” In his 19 years of industry experience, he has worked for Skanska in our Northeast and West regions.

During Iniguez’s 15-year career, he has “delivered successful projects in tough situations,” including the nationally recognized Colton Crossing railroad grade separation project. Furthermore, “Gerry is dedicated to leading and developing others,” the announcement said. “Gerry consistently demonstrates the commitment to develop those working with him, which makes him a role model for the values we are looking for in our leaders.”

Nystrom has succeeded in many roles during his 15-year career. Through all of them, “Brad has consistently shown the ability to analyze and solve problems while uniting and leading a team effectively,” the announcement said. “His broad experience with different Skanska operating units and various types of projects and delivery methods will be a tremendous value to the West in the future.”
