Modern Healthcare just named Skanska the fourth-largest U.S. healthcare construction management firm, up from the ninth slot the previous year. The magazine bases its rankings on the dollar value of healthcare projects completed in that year; we completed $1 billion of healthcare projects in 2013, climbing from $951.7 million in 2012.

In its latest national rankings, ENR magazine lists Skanska USA as the sixth-largest at-risk construction manager (fourth largest considering just U.S. revenue) and the 51st largest design-builder.

Skanska again ranked as 7th largest U.S. contractor as industry revenue improves

Skanska is again ranked as the seventh-largest U.S. contractor by Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine, based on 2012 revenue of $5.8 billion. This is the same ranking we received last year, and it accounts for both USA Building and USA Civil. Within market segments this year, we rank as the third-largest building contractor, with revenue of $3.1 billion, and the fifth-largest heavy contractor, with revenue of $1.7 billion. In its report on the 400 largest U.S. contractors, ENR states that a modest turnaround in the construction industry is underway but that uncertainty persists as to the direction of the market.
